When using an e-mail client to access your SACS e-mail, some basic settings need to be set.
Any @cgl.ucsf.edu email not sent via plato can (and sometimes will) be rejected as a forgery.
Also, if you are having problems sending out non-cgl mail through plato, record the error message you are getting and send it to (or just forward the error to): email@example.com
Please note that although we may not have the answer for every problem that may arise when using these programs, these basic settings should cover nearly all of the requirements. Some issues should be referred to the provider of the program license.
